Darth: Did a quick Google, and this is one of the ones that came up www.backwoodshome.com/articles/hooker41.html .As the author says, you can change any of the dimensions to suite yourself. To which I would add, if scaled down far enough, light bulbs and a fan could be used for heat source. If you have access to a defunct refrigerator, you could make racks to stack inside. Cut a vent hole in the top and bottom of the fridge, and screen the openings. Set one to four 100 W light bulbs in the bottom as a heat source. Pick up a low volume fan to set beside the lights, and you are in business. If you want to control the temperature, get a hot water tank thermostat, and have it regulate the lights. Use one of those $10 indoor/outdoor thermometers with a wire connected lead for the outdoor, to monitor the heat inside the dryer. I am using this sort of setup to cure tobacco with. Because I don't want to dry the tobacco, I am using a crockpot for heat and moisture at the lower temperatures, and add the lights for the upper end of the temperature ranges (140 F to 160 F). If possible, get one of the older refrigerators that have a metal body and metal liner inside. cheers modified to add = put something over the light bulbs to keep drips from landing on and popping them.
