Just a quick note for anyone interested and has not heard...there is an informal get together and seed swap at Bill Best's Sustainable Mountain Agriculture Center (SMAC) on October 4th (a saturday). It will be mostly (but not entirely) the core group from the now dissolved AHSC. We would love to have you if you have free time. There is nothing "organized" and there will be no meals served, either bring a lunch or we will break for lunch and run into town. If you come, remember to bring a chair (folding bag chairs work great). We will mostly be sitting around chatting, swapping stories and sharing new ideas and what we have each learned. Thanks for the update buddy.
I might try to make it out to this one if I can. I need to go visit some family in that area soon anyhow so perhaps I can fit it all into one neat trip. I really hope I'll be able to make it out!

The Appalachian Heirloom Seed Swap and Field Day held at Sustainable Mountain Agriculture Center and hosted by Bill Best was a great and fun day. People from 5 states were present and a great variety of seeds changed hands.

Is it possible that there will be another event this year?
