The list has moved to its own url. The list now has a permanent url at WinterSown.Org. I've moved the list there to make it easier to edit. Up until now, it's been posted at a few locations across the internet and editing the list has been fast and easy. However, as day hours lesson and Winter approaches my work hours increase. So, I do hope you will all visit this list to see what's there and get yourself some great tomatoes! I was an early bird and hit Trudi up for seeds a few months ago. Thanks Trudi!
My wintersowing project was so-so last year, but I figured out why (soil was too shallow,) so I'm ready to do it right this year. Poppies and Rhubarb did the best for me under inadequate conditions.
I'm going to make it a point to give back some seed next year!

Alan, you're very welcome! I'm happy to be able to share your seeds. It may be a year or two before we see the Robert Johnson tobacco showing up in seed exchange lists but I know that it will eventually be there. WSers love to save and trade their seeds and nicotianas are among the easiest to save, I expect this tobacco will become a backyard must-have in the coming decades.
Johno, each year as you continue to WS your germination percentages get higher simply because your learn by example or---like most of us--from trial and error. I try to put at least three inches of soil in each container and have a headroom space of a couple of inches above the soil line so the seedlings have some space above their heads. The seedlings don't grow fast in the beginning and you should be transplanting into the ground before their all an inch tall, but the space above them allows for free flow of fresh air through the cover vents and that helps to prevent damp-off or algae from growing on too-moist soil.
Good luck--it really DOES get better year after year!

I hope the Robert Johnson catches on if nothing else as a bedding plant. I'm planing on working on a couple of new tobacco types this year, I need to dig my seeds out and do inventory and send samples of the rare ones to those who asked as well as make focus notes about new croses and what to look for in previous crosses. I think I'll do that while I have this horrible chest cold.

Stay warm and dry Alan so it doesn't go into pneumonia.

I made some changes to the list this evening, I took a few out but added more than a few, the list now has a wider range of maturity dates and variety in sizes, shapes and colors.

Trudi,
Thank you so much for the seed. I think you most have sent everything I ask for, substitutes and more.
Thanks again. I'll be sending some back to you this fall for next year's offer.
