Just for the heck of it, this year I am going to try crossing Big Jim with Peter Pepper. Doing it mainly for the "shock value" and a few giggles.... ;D

I always thought growing Peter Pepper and Teton de Venus tomatoes, side by side, would be a real treat for the neighbors. ;>)

Actually, if I am successful and eventually get the cross to consistently grow true, I'm thinking of naming it after my materal Grandpa Charlie who was, shall we say, ahem - rather "well endowed". Back in my teenage years, my Dad and I used to help Grandpa Charlie with his bath....

Total crop failure on the Big Jim,(not the FIRST plant lived to bloom!), bumper crop on the peter peppers - go figure! Will try again in the greenhouse with the Big Jim (or maybe some Mirasols......)
