Tomorrow I'll be slaughtering 12 5-7 month old roosters, a couple of my own and a couple given to me a few weeks ago by a friend. When I first started slaughtering and cleaning my own animals I thought it would bother me, but over the past few sessions I've actually come to enjoy the thought of slaughtering my own meat quite well. Anyhow, one thing I think the homesteading section could use is a tutorial on meat slaughtering.
Anything you can contribute regarding meat animals would be fantastic, I will in time write one up on turkeys, but I'm gonna have to wait until I have it down to more of an art, plus there is more than one method, if you have any you don't mind to share, please share them.

I got all but two done today and have become quite proficient at evisceration at this point, I'm kind of proud of my cuts even, it took a few but I got there.
