i cannot find a thread on spelt, tho i know we've discussed it here before. i was given seed from patrick and someone (maybe graham?) else last spring and will definitely be planting it this coming spring.
i can't find patrick's bifurated (sp?) carrot blog with info. can you post it patrick along with any other info on growing spelt, please.
i believe it's planted in the spring, right? and i think you said i could plant it unsheathed, right? i'm thinking of taking a few grains and trying to winter sow them.
thanks!

Hi Bunkie, All the posts I made about spelt can be found here (you'll probably find what you need on the first page): www.patnsteph.net/weblog/index.php?s=speltSome spelt needs to pass through the winter solstice in order to produce seeds. Unfortunately I don't know if this is the case with the the spelt I gave you or not. If this is not needed, then it shouldn't matter if you plant it fall or spring. I have always planted mine August/September, early enough so it gets a bit of a start before going through the winter.
