Anyone else, other than Michel I hope, going to be in Cornwall, Ontario on February 26-27 for the Organic Growers Conference?
They have a number of speakers and I'm particularly interested in the talk by Hida Manns on Farming with fungi instead of fertilizer, mostly because I loved her growing in the weeds discussion.

Telsing, I used to live about 3 hours from Cornwall and I tried not to go there then. I live more like an 8 hour drive away from there now. Have a Wonderful Weekend. Will be looking forward to your report on the festivities.

I wont be able to go to Cornwall due to work. I am toying with going to both the Seedys in Perth and Ottawa during the first weekend in March. My daughter lives in Ottawa and it would be nice to meet a few of the folks here as well.

Update:
I had a great time and really enjoyed the talk by Hida Manns which this year was about mycorrhizal colonization and plant/soil health. It was packed, standing room only. The talk on environmental management and pest prevelance was excellent too - I'll detail it later (along with Hida Manns talk) when I have a longer minute so I can properly credit the speaker whose name I can't recall at the moment.
I also got a new book by Frank Tozer on The Uses of Wild Plants - Using and Growing the Wild Plants of the United States and Canada. Unlike most of what I have read on the subject, he neither shies away from fine detailing of how the plants were and are used as well as measured precautions with explanations. He also includes a lot of his own experiences with the plants. Good book!
Oh and thanks to Michel for being such a fun companion!
