Frogs! Every evening for the past three weeks, just as the last of the blue fades from the sky, the frog chorus from a nearby swampy meadow...starts.

Hey everyone, Thanks for the advice on the winter hardiness of elephant garlic. This is one of those "wish I'd have asked that question LAST YEAR!!" Duh ... Thanks again, Steve.

It must be spring because the daffodils have finally started flowering and so has the forsythia - and because there are heavy rain and later snowfalls forecast for tomorrow :-(

Wow. It is weeeiiiird weather here. Recticulated iris has bloomed, my wild leeks are up, crocuses are nearly finished and daffs are looking plump but not flowering yet. I think my Evans cherry will show petals soon.

Lovely. I love the candy colours of spring. Funnily enough, I particularly like the froggy photo. How did you get it?

Great pics, Karen. The lilacs here haven't even leafed out. I see blooms around Mother's Day. My early daffs have started blooming & I see the Bleeding Heart poking through.

Well now, the frogs usually disappear as soon as someone walks up, but these two yesterday, were not paying much attention to me at all. I saw them, went in to get the camera. I was sure they would be gone when I got back, but there they were, still in their embrace. I was afraid I wouldn't have any frogs left, had a massive dieoff during the winter when the pong was frozen over. It's just a tiny little goldfish pond that really needs to be redone.
