What came out of the other side of winter so far: Easy survivors ready for some picking: Scorzonera is sprouting - a bit hairy, but tasty, bloody dock, various green onions, mustard seedlings, even mustard (I have a picture of cool one I'll put up when I take it ), kale, mache, bellflowers, parsley, chinese cabbages under a cloche I just left to be covered in snow. And... some Perennial kale looking positvely perky. I also covered it with a cloche though it got covered and surrounded by snow, it did not get squashed.

More emerges out of the snow. Beheaded cabbages, leaf leek and more.
Anyone else doing winter trials that want to report success or failure.
I tried 9 star broccoli in the open garden with no cloche and it appears more or less alive or at least it doesn't seem dead.

Nine star is a darn sissy plant. I had some, and they cannot even survive being squeezed a little by a 3 tons tractor ;D ;D ;D ;D
There is still snow on my few european perennial cabbages...
