Years ago I was very interested of this species, but back then it was hard to get. Nowdays it's much easier, but I wonder does it worth to grow it! I wonder - do you like the effect caused by the fruit after eating it? How easy/hard is to grow it in a pot?

I tried growing it in pots a few times. It died every time, It likes consistent warmth and extremely acidic soil. It needs pampering.
I enjoyed the effect of eating the fruit and examining the effects on eating other things, but after awhile it becomes boring.

Thanks! Was concerned about that. I remember one quote I read some time ago in the Rare Fruit News Online that "the most miraculous thing about growing miracle fruit is keeping them alive" - doesn't sound good!

For what it's worth, I've only seen this species a couple of times, both times in glasshouses (high humidity) - at the National Botanical Garden in Belgium (with berries) and at the Eden Project, UK.

I bought some seeds on ebay about 2 months ago. Most of the seeds sprouted, but are still under the moss). I'm growing them in peat moss - perlite 50:50, as the instructions say. I'd love to get some fresh or dried fruits, just to try them.

They have the same effect. www.amazon.com/Miracle-Fruit-Tablets-600-mg/dp/B001JH93BU
