The clearwing moth is on a Pycnanthemum-I believe it is the species albescens, thought I am not positive-there are many similar ones. Whichever one it is, it is really a magnet for all things flying. Luckily I had my camera, I was going to my nephews birthday party when I noticed all the activity going on. My BIL has a lot of cool plants there in one area next to the driveway, there are even some native orchids growing there. I try to tell him how important those plants are, but he always ends up mowing the field anyway. I have added more photos at picasaweb.google.com/plantsnobin I don't know how to make a link thingy, sorry. I'm doing good to make it to this forum. Alan is supposed to come over to my house before long-maybe he can help me out? ?
