AWESOME Karen! Thanks! ;D It's gonna be a blast, I'll have to be sure to have a special space for plants coming and going. I've got a few pots of thyme going and some more seeds as well. I'm planning to have a few bean seeds ready as well. Piekny Jas in particular. Poor Tommy picked them not realizing they were not to be eaten. On the good side, they are going strong even though there are only 2 wee plants.

Telsing, I missed your trap crop for Japanese beetles question. No need to plant wild grapes. Why?
1. It won't work for me. 2. Why? 3. The forest margin and creek area is FULL of fox grapes. Ya think the stupid beetles attack them? OOOOoohhh NO! Those darn vines look fresh sprouted by the end of summer but my concord and muscadine grapes are virtual skeletons!
Hand picking bugs, while not as effective over the years as I would have hoped is very soothing spiritually.

Speaking of hand picking bugs... I found something new on a bean a couple days ago. The thing looks like a green leach. Sort of attached itself to the bean like a leach would. When I pulled it off, there was a hole in the bean the size of the animal head and clear through the pod and into the flesh of the bean underneath. Any idea what it was?
