Looks like we may not get land until after time to transplant plants which would be tragic! How can I get around this?

We moved in January when we left the farm. I dug the ones that meant the most to me in late autumn and put them in large containers. Others, I saved seed from (like Lemon Balm) and just started over from seed. And of course, some did not make the move at all.

Do you have a place to take cuttings of your favorites? In my climate, I can cut perennials back about now, and get a new flush of growth that would be suitable for taking cuttings. Cuttings would save a lot of space over digging up whole plants and putting in containers. If I had a really special plant, I would take cuttings, then dig up the plant too to containerize, just for better chance of living. Does CanadaMike have any space for you to put in a nursery area? Sorry your land search hasn't gone better.
