Here is what my main corn breeding patch looked like last evening. I have 4 other small plots tucked away in people's back yards. The runty things closest to the camera are Long Island Seed Project's Ashworth X se. They didn't get a fair chance because I planted them too close to a Box Elder tree that sucks away the soil moisture like crazy. They'll still produce seed though. And this is the types of things I took to market yesterday. I dug the potatoes because the plants had died... (Blight?) The rest of the potato patch is healthy. I noticed a weird thing about Colorado Potato Beatles this summer. I have been pinching them thoroughly in the potato patch, so now they are laying eggs on the tomatoes, and on the wild Solanaceae. Regards, Joseph

I noticed the same thing here. I've had a couple CPBs show up on the eggplants as well. They seem particularly fond of the horse thistle though. Another thing is False Colorado Potato Beetle. Essentially the same thing, but the larvae are white and the adults are also lighter in coloration. By the by, the horseradish didn't really seem to be a deterrent.

Very nice corn patch my friend. This year, if you want, I will send you seed of improved astronomy domine to use in your work.
