Coating seeds with a clay mix is interesting as it does have a lot of good points, but how can one devise a system to make your own with out going mad in the process. I would think that making your own pelleted carrot or lettuce seeds would take quite a bit of time especially if you try to make them by hand. Now if you could send your seeds to a company that will coat them for you that would be great, if it didn't cost you a arm and a leg. George W.

It's been a long time since I read Fukuoka, but I seem to recall his method was to mix the seed in clay powder, then moisten it, then press it through screen and let it re-dry. Probably not a perfect result, but usable.
