Went last year, was wondering what the date would be for this year. Was hoping that it wouldn't be the same day as ours. We have a rabbit show that day, but maybe my husband will skip his show for the swap. Last year we made an appointment to go to Englands Nut Tree Nursery, which is just a few miles down the road from SMAC.

Why are there never any fun things around me closer than a 6 hr drive?
I'd love to go...I even have a bean 'find' that would be interesting to get out there (a 'family cornfield' bean that has been grown by the same grower since she received it, as a wedding 'gift', 67 yrs ago...and that was when it was passed down to her. It had been in her family longer than that).

Hey MJC, are you going to Indiana? Our path is going to cut through the southern tip of your state. Think that might be close enough to you to arrange a meeting? If you are also going, maybe we could tailgate. If not, I could pass your seed. I'm looking for bean seeds these days.

Very cool. I dont know if Ive actually met Blueflint or not- Ive been to CHOPTAG taste fest 2 years, went to the SMAC event last year and mostly talked to Gary and Brook...
and MJC if you and Jo dont connect maybe mail the seeds when it cools down, hubby says we can make this event.

I'll be happy to as soon as I get it figured out...  You know how us wimmen can be sumtimes.  Truly though, I INTEND (yea yea, path to hell and all) to establish that very thing this week so keep an eye out. I'll prolly PM you about it. |

Would love to, I have a few seeds to send to Brook- got a family thing that has come up so we look towards next year also!
Ive got some Red Velvet Okra from the Welsh (?) gentleman who was there last year, and some 3-colored lima beans from SSE and some other odds and ends if anyone needs
