Next year, I should be up and running at our new place and then I can come and join in on the festivities. So sad I'll not be able to meet up with you guys! So instead, I'll hang out here and feed my growing compulsion to collect seeds. I can't seem to pass up a ripe seed head without a little shaking into a bag. Okay, I can pass up the dandelions but that's just because I have lots of those.

I do desperately wish you could come but I am sure you will most certainly be here in spirity. Next year though we will have another chance, oh and did I mention I have never been to New York? Excited and planing on saving back enough money for the trip.

We will have to make sure events are posted or something... But ya know, this is why I thing we need a commemorative of some sort, ketchup, jam, something that we do together, whoever the "we" might be in any given year, that is sent out as far as we can send it.
Somehow, I get the feeling that this celebration is on the "First Annual".

Sadly distance makes it impossible to come. This sounds like a very good meeting and I wish you a great time together.
Will be with you in spirit and hope to read a full account of the event in due course.
Enjoy! And travel safely, all!

Telsing, I do so wish you could be here. But it is so exciting that you are getting your new place going! There is a lot to be said for a fresh start somewhere, when you already have some experience growing. I am discovering that Sept may be too early in this area for a seed swap of a lot of plants, many things have not set/ripened seed yet. So truth is, I won't really have much of anything to offer!!! I had wanted to have lots of plants to give away, but the weather has not cooperated at all on that this year. In fact, most of my garden is dormant now. I would probably be better off hosting a spring thing, when my garden is worth seeing, and I could give away tons of plants. I think if I start talking about it now, my husband just might go for the New York trip. Course, I will have to a lot of sucking up......

The first time is not gonna be the most perfected but I'll bet you dollar to a dime it'll be one of the funniest. If you think about it, there are few times through the year where it will be "just right" for everyone to converge. We'll have to try out different things at different times of years if we really want this to be an annual event. I get "Good Vibrations" about that happening. ::shivers with excitement:: Yep, this is fun FUN FUN!
