Just popped over to your site and though I don't read/speak Esperanto, I do speak English and Spanish and somewhat understand French so I felt in familiar territory. By the way, and this is meant as a compliment, your interests could make you a pretty good SF writer. (Assuming that you liked writing of course)
I loved my genetics course in Uni too though I ended up with a major in geology with a minor in philosophy...

Thanks. I suppose i do have a wide variety of interests. It keeps life interesting.
I do like writing actually, but i'm not good at writing stories. It;s definitely a skill that needs improvement. My favourite Sci-fi book is called "A stainless steel rat is born" by Harry Harrison. And i loved the brief sci-fi tv series "Firefly". If i could choose an imaginary career, it would be "Space Outlaw". Sadly it's a career that does not exist.
My brother has similar interests, and actually participates in that Nano-ryme-o story writing month thing.

I'm not sure how many here are interested in DNA and ancestry, but i wanted to share. I just recently got the results back from the company 23andMe, and wrote a post about it on my blog. I will now be planting Anasazi beans this summer, and will learn more about growing beans in general, along with amaranth and more native foods.
If anyone else decides to try out 23andme, then i suggest you write a blog post about it and share your results!
fun, neat thing to do. glad you were pleased with the results.
I feel the Need to Seed!
On the side of a north facing little mountain, very rocky clay soil. Not much topsoil over limestone karst. Emphasis on sustainable organic techniques, but would use depleted uranium dust on squash bugs! GARDEN GOAL is to produce as much of our own food and livestock feed as possible. Favorite Garden Fantasy: to produce a vegetable variety of value to others.
