pyramids to help plants grow

not sure if this is what was meant...

has anyone tried a pyramid over plants to see if they grow better ?
I have seen reports in various books and websites that it helps plants and is good pest control,
so I was wondering if anyone here has tried it,
it seems easy enough to try,
I think I am going to try it this spring to see if it works.

I am gardening around the cement support pads that had a 70' tall pyramid sitting on them from one owner before me. It didn't work.

Many many many years ago I tried some. No noticeable difference.
