Nope but it's been on my trying list for a while as well. After all how many trees with big attactive flowers and edible nuts and seeds are availbe to people who live in northern climes like us?
Oh and it seems that it is more commonly listed as sorbifolium (neuter ending as opposed to feminine)

I have a plant, and it seems hardy enough, but no real experience yet.

I grew several trees from seed about eight years ago. They are now specimens about 8 ft tall (but they are in very poor shallow soil). I'm disappointed they haven't flowered yet but somebody on another forum told me I'd have to wait at least ten years from seed. Attractive foliage though.

I grew them about 10-15 years ago. Never flowered and eventually died in 4 or 5 years. They don't like extreme summer heat. Pretty plants though. I would grow them again in a cooler climate.

Well that's promising given my cooler climate. Looking forward to comparing notes Stephen.
