Perhaps someone can help me with this question. SESE has a perennial leek listed which they call "Perennial Leek (Oepri, Perlzweibel)". Would this perennial leek be the same as a Babington Leek? Or is it a similar variety of perennial leek? I seem to have read a discussion about perennial leek somewhere (maybe here), but can't seem to find the source.

It is listed by Frank Van Keirsbilck, that you can read here under the moniquer Orflo. I have it. It is not Babbington leek. It is absolutely delicious, a very very refined vegetable. It will set seeds starting year 2.
A real pleasure in the mouth. Leek above ground and garlic underground, perennial leek is the ancestor of the actual elephant garlic.

Thanks for the answer. I ordered Babington Leek from Chiltern Seeds in UK. I also went ahead and ordered the perennial Leek from SESE. Looking forward to growing both.
