Aside from gardening, what is everyone doing today?
Me...I'm gonna go get my hair cut...Because it is driving me INSANE. Maybe go buy me a new outfit since I haven't done that for myself in a long time. And I have to run by my work and check my schedule to see what time I work tomorrow, I should have wrote it down, but after the last two days of HELL, I was determined to get the hell outa there. The last couple of days our department did right at 60,000 dollars in business both days. Saturday was a lot busier than I thought it would be, what with the kick off of the Kentucky Derby Festival, Thunder Over Louisville, being that night. Anyhoo...Just wondered what y'all were doing today...

I went to DC today with a bunch of third graders - we went to the Jefferson Memorial, the Air and Space Museum, and the Capitol Bldg. It was cool, but it was l-o-n-g ... Now it's a beer and barbequed shrimp time for me!

Oh my goodness...I imagine that was a LONG trip. When Alan and I were in school our DC trip didn't happen till we were in the fifth grade. I didn't go because I am terrified of heights and we were going to have to fly....

AWW. You've known each other since grade school? That's very sweet.
I hate flying too.
Today, I had lunch with my ex-boss who is in town from Panama. It poured down rain and our 15 minute drive home took an hour. There's been a lot of torrential rain here. Hopefully our lakes will fill up.

AWW. You've known each other since grade school? That's very sweet. Heather and I met at an Easter egg hunt when we were five years old! I don't mind flying, but take-offs and landings make me pretty nervous. I had an uneventful day at the seed shop. Haha - I just remembered, I didn't wake up today until I was supposed to be at work. I hate that feeling! Sharon is very understanding, though, so I didn't get fired...

Well, Friend Wife and I didn't meet until we were seniors in high school---different schools, different boroughs (for those who know NY, Queens & Manhatten. For those who don't, think adjacent cities).
But we just celebrated our 40th in January. Forty years of a trial marraige, and we're starting to think it's going to work out. We'll give it another ten or fifteen years, just to make sure.

So Brook, you had an E line romance? I dated a guy in Manhattan for awhile in high school, but it was a Metro North romance, and those never work...
