The full worm moon
This is the moon where the soil warms up and the worms come to the surface and really they are already there because we have had nothing but muck for about a year here so my worms are thriving ..in fact they are so close to the surface they give my 4 year old grandson such amazing joy I can not tell you ...worms and 4 year olds ..wow the best combo ever! and the chickens omg they have been feasting!
I have tons of robins that live here but the migrants are coming through slowly and joining in the feast ..how do I know the difference ..my husband is a birdnerd so he tells me what are migrants and I believe him blindly because I sure as heck have no clue!
I have to check and see in the woodland garden if the trilliums are coming up yet ...I saw the Indian plums blooming so the bushtits will be here soon ..there is nothing cuter than spring bushtits attacking an indian plum!!!
the sky has given us a break at night so I have watched this beautiful moon!!! I live in a spot where I am on the water and on top of a hill so I can see the moon when I have insomnia go over my house and drop into the water
I am so happy to see the largest full moon in 20 years!!! I am so fascinated by moons, stars, tides ..I so want to take an astronomy class and learn more ...
for the time being I guess this moon will shift our tides here just 6 inches ..but in the little nook on the Salish Sea that I live in six inches is kind of cool!
anyone else love looking at the sky at night ..sometimes I just stand out there close my eyes and take a moon bath...considering we have had so little sun this year ...the moon feels good to me even if it is not the same thing!
do you enjoy watching the moon phases?
how about a little video
