How is everyone? Hopefully doing great. Hopefully the weather hasn't put too much of a damper on everyones out door activities today. It cleared up long enough for my kid sister to throw some steaks on the grill for supper, I'm gonna put Mom and Dad on some baked taters and green beans in a minute.

We've had some crazy weather here, too. It's interspersed with really great weather so I'm happy. Our garden is growing like crazy as are our weeds. I think I've taken out 7 wheelbarrows full of weeds in 3 days and the garden still looks like I'm slacking. Oh well, no idle hands for this gal

Good lord thats alot of weeds...
My sister is quite thrilled that even with that crazy freeze that we had in late march, her sweet william that had reseeded itself last year has nearly taken over the flower bed and is starting to bloom...
My iris' and lilies on the other had look pitiful. I think they'll come out of it and bloom this fall though...

I know. My garden is new and used to be a weedy 1/8 acre lawn area. Between grass, thistle, trumpet vine, wild carrot, nut sedge and some other unidentified nasties, I've got my hands full. It's time for some major mulching, I'm afraid.
I'm sorry that you guys in colder climates lost a lot of plants and fruits for the year. Everything will be better next year, I hope.
