Howdy! the wife and I are both native Georgians from here in west central Georgia. We both love to vegetable and flower garden, mainly heirloom varieties. She's into beans, I'm into tomatos.... I'm a disabled Vietnam era Army Veteran so it takes me a little bit longer to get things done. The wife also loves to make homemade organic candles (bayberry and beeswax). I make handmade reed baskets and coiled pine needle baskets . Both of us are firm believers in natural gardening methods and recycling, renewing and reusing our resources....

Gerald, I never knew you were a basketweaver!! I used to have an online friend from Scotland who made baskets. She came to visit one summer and brought me a beautiful basket. I wanted her to teach me to make them, and she was more interested in sightseeing and partying than just visiting than spending quality time here on the farm. She did show me a little bit the day we took her to the airport, and I still have the sample, but I have serious doubts I'd ever be able to replicate her work. Pine needle baskets as well. Wow!!
