The gray lifted a bit and I got a peek at what is out there
I go out in the miserable weather but sometimes here there literally is no color!
There was yesterday! Colors, smells, tastes and the birds were singing ..still are ..like crazy
My currant bushes smell heavenly ..I can not imagine a more wonderful fragrance!
I was transplanting the baby currants and just rustling the large bushes and realized how long it has been since I had had such an amazingly sensual experience in my garden...
The weather here has truly sucked and I have felt like we have had nothing in the air but the smell of moss!!!..and I love smelling moss..I live in a rain trough I better love it ..but really time for a change!
The currant bushes pulled me right out of the dim into the spring ..they just smell so wonderful
we have been eating lots of fresh herbs and greens ..along with the first flush of rhubarb..do you eat raw rhubarb? I just love to eat the first piece right out of the garden it wakes me up..also nettles ..I have to admit to some masochistic tendency I like a tiny bit of nettle sting in the spring..now falling face first into nettles ..no (yes I have done that!) ..
there are a lot of slugs out there making me glad I have ducks now..I tossed a few to the baby ducks and watched them go mental boy do they love slugs! awesome!
and the birds . hummingbirds to eagles are full of spring and everywhere..the sky was blue yesterday and the birds are just brilliant!
Spring blooms and buds everywhere..pussywillows...and catkins on the hazelnut trees ...
(I am so thankful for antihistamines good grief being allergic sucks with out them)
is it spring for you yet? What are you tasting, seeing, hearing and smelling ..it is fun to live vicariously!
