Hi there, I'm new here and am gathering all sorts of helpful information. I sorta tripped over the info on Seed Saver's Exchange and am a firm believer there is no such thing as too many gardening sites. LOL ;D
DH and I have gardened organically off and on for over 25 years. I retired early this year and so have had more time to get back into some heavy duty gardening! Just completed Master Gardener classes at the end of November so I'm looking forward to doing some of the programs available in our area.
We are considering doing market gardening, right now I want a greenhouse in the worst way, but we are having a bit of problem with the county. One of the neighbors has chosen to be a bit of pain. That may come back to bite him, since he keeps cattle. You don't get it both ways.....evil grin We'd like set this up so I could manage it myself as we could use the additional income, but finding something part time for me right now is not a great option, because of health issues. I can however work a garden.
Other hobbies and interests: Breeding Boston Terriers (we have 5), spoiling the grand babies rotten (3 of those), fishing, DH is become a pretty good photographer.
This is a historic area so we like wandering around checking out the local sites and acting like tourists.
