So I am a big puss and and I had a wisdom tooth yanked today. Positives: No more tooth pain after heals nice stock of pain meds  Finally manned up. Negatives: bloody gauze hole in jaw pain meds not working yet  |

:oOUCH! Yikes - I remember the day I had all four pulled - 20 minutes a piece to wrestle them out. I looked like the Godfather with all that gauze... I hope they gave you the good stuff. I looked like a hippy back then, so they gave me Mepergan - pretty weak...  It should heal pretty fast, though. That's the best part. You'll be pulling those stitches in no time. ;D |

I was lucky johno. I only had one. It wasn't impacted and it had small roots. As far as the good stuff.....sadly I got the medium grade stuff. The old tylenol 3s. I have no stitches so its not too bad. My jaw is just achy now.

That's weird, I just took my daughter today to get her last wisdon tooth out. She is asleep on the couch- Vicodin ES. She had two teeth pulled years ago to make room for her braces, and that day she came home and mowed the yard. A few weeks ago they worked on right side, wisdon tooth out and some cavities filled. She didn't have any pain with that, today they pulled the left side and some fillings and she was hurting through the whole thing. Right side cost $550, today's was $660. Well, at least the pain meds are cheap. I was in a bit of pain myself as I was writing out that check.

I had all four of mine yanked out at once when I was still in high school. They put me under ... don't remember a thing except for when I woke up the nurse asked me if I thought I could stand up and walk over to the chair ... "Sure, no problemo!"
Fortunately, she caught me before I fell flat on my backside ...
CB, you'll heal up quick, methinks, and PN's daughter, too. Kids heal up so quick ...

My daughter is still in bed, she couldn't take the Vicodin, was making her sick, so just is sticking with Motrin. Her jaw is huge.
