That does sound good; I've heard her on NPR, very interesting. Surely if you set out a big bowl of compost and another of water the farm will be fine 'til you get back.

I realize I lost part of my post. I was going to say if anyone is hunting for anything, while I'm traipsing the isles in search of the obscure, I'll peel my peepers for you.
Sure, I'll just set out a bowl of water for 36 chickens...when I come back they'll be in the living room, eating out of the fridge and making crumbs on the rug. My farm sitter has gone awol...she went to college. I was giving her a perfectly good education.

"Crumbs on the rug"; interesting euphemism, that.

Steev, Will you be green? You can't miss me, I'll be wearing a Guatemalan shirt. Please come up and say hi. Leo is very tall and he'll be the one lugging pounds of seed. I'm stalking the wild corn for a dear friend.
I've already been to the Burbank Garden...hunting those white berries. They don't have them either. It's a nice little garden. It's too bad that they sold off so much of it. You can spot his trees through the neighborhood though.

They have (had?) the white blackberries at his house when I was there 3-4 years ago.
Green? Not so you'd notice; I'll be shod, lest I should be shooed.
Guatemalan shirts it is.
