We'd like to expand our seed offerings so that we have all the most popular backyard crops, but we're already stretched too thin to grow any more varieties ourselves.
What are your favorite sources for wholesale or bulk seed sales?
One problem we have had in the past is that our orders from some companies have not shown up early enough to resell. And some companies sell years-old seed. We need fresh seed delivered no later than about January.
Much obliged for your insights.

You might contact Oregon State University. I'm pretty sure that a large amount of wholesale seed is grown in Oregon, they could probably get you in contact with the wholesale suppliers. A couple I know off the top of my head are Emerald Seed Company, Sakata, and Bejo.

But I have no Idea How you actually go about buying seed from a company like that. Maybe one of the other small seed companies can clue you in? Probably its like a lot of wholesale sales and you have to deal with a rep of some kind.

Without a doubt, Seeds of Italy. I ask, they get, great quality, great quantity at a fare value. Daniel Nagengast is the new owner nagengast at earthlink dot net
Tell him I sent you. I have been trialing their seed for 3 years. I find them true to type over time. Not all of their seed is available in large quantities on the net, but when I ask, they find it. They have even sent me discontinued seed.
Regards, Holly

Intriguing but scary without knowing what the source is, and how old the seed might be. The upstream source probably varies quite a bit.

yea, I guess it is better to get seeds from somewhere like this, www.jordanseeds.combut I know nothing of them either other than it was on the list of seeds by MJC on this thread, and I can't imagine him posting a bad company
