I was needing a new vehicle. We were going to wait til after moving to Cali, but the cost of renting an RV isn't totally covered by the company, and my jaunt was going to cost us several thousand dollars, at the end of which we would not own the rental RV, of course! (There was a $2000 charge just for leaving it on the west coast!)
So we started looking casually at new vehicles for me. But of course, with him in Sacramento, and me still here in Virginia, the car shopping was not very consistent. I really love trucks, so we were looking at Fords...
Today, Andre managed to negotiate a deal LONG DISTANCE for a 2008 F250 Lariat, crew cab, long bed SRW on 20 inch wheels, which I drove home this evening. Ooooh, it is SO pretty! The color is called Dark Stone, which is kind of a dark grey/green, and the interior is camel colored leather. Am I not just the luckiest wife? Andre ROCKS!!!!

Good road cruiser. Well except for gas mileage, but you've got to drive something, might as well be pretty But trade it in when you get to CA and buy a Ranger...much easier to park. ;D

Parking, schmarking... I can park this baby ON a Ranger! I got the diesel, so the mileage is at least better than the gas powered super duties. When I left the dealership last night, with a full tank, I had 598 miles til empty. SWEET! Besides, I can't fit both dogs in the ranger bed and still haul anything...
Went out driving with my friend this morning... she was still in her jammies, but wanted a ride right away. Now she says she wants to ride out to Cali with us, because she's in lust with my truck. Ha ha ha!

He's a keeper, Lav. LOL That is really cool. At least you know you'll have a reliable vehicle for that long drive.
