Does anyone have this tree? I was at a horticultural exposition and they showed this tree. I have tasted the juice and the apple itself, it tasted wonderful!!! The flesh is red and it doesn't become brown due to antioxidants. They came from Switserland but they couldn't sell them at the exposition, just show them due to custom regulations. But i certainly hope to get my hands on one in future.

I haven't heard anything about it there are some red fleshed varieties at One Green World, they have Firecracker which is a deep red fleshed small apple, from what I heard its about the size of a large crab apple but better tasting, they also have the follow red fleshed varieties Hidden Rose, Pink Pearl and Scarlet Suprise. I've not tried any of them, I am hoping to get some scion wood this coming spring for grafting, but I don't know what the apple varieties they will come from maybe I'll get lucky and get a red flesh type. I have one or two of those on the farm; I'll check which and get back to you.

Sorry, I'm responding to George; I know nothing of Red Love; sounds nice, though.

George W. I've tried Hidden Rose and found it to be too tart for eating, like some other red fleshed apples, but I have never had enough of any of them to carefully evaluate how they taste as they age. Some tart apples mellow out nicely as they age.

Back in college when I made one of my school trips to Geneva (Geneva New York, not Geneva Switzerland) they had us try this Kazhak apple whose flesh was deep deep crimson. way to tart for me (it was more along the lines of an oversized crabapple) but really really red.
