One plant of blue borage had pink flowers on it. Both blue and pink flowers were seen. I am thinking maybe a mineral deficiency? Anyone seen this before? Attachments:

Pink and white flowers pop up pretty regularly. Some people have developed breeding lines for the pinks and whites.

I've seen white and blue borage but not pink. It may be a mutation. You could mark the flower and save seed for sowing next spring, just to see if you end up with a pink flowered form.

Pink is not really uncommon, they pop up spontanuously fromtime to time over here, white ones never popped up out of nowhere, but you can find seeds of these rather easily. They make a nice color effect when combined with the more familiar blue flowers in a salad or on a dish. Attachments:

I think pink may be what happens to a normally blue flower if the pigment pathway is partially messed up (and white when it is completely). Every now an again, when driving along the road, I've seen pink and white flowered specimens of the normally blue flowered wild chicory. I imagine it might have a similar cause
