Has anyone developed a landrace of bush beans that would do well in a high humidity, low fertility situation....like northern Florida?
Thanks

Well usually I grow bush blue lake for snap beans and don't really try for dry beans as we have so much rain and humidity during the summer. I do try to let a few go and save them for seed but really I was thinking of snap beans. A type of bean that would do well here and would dry well would be great as we eat a ton of beans and rice. People here grow a lot of black eyed peas but my family isn't very fond of them so I've never planted them....they say they grow really easily.

Glenn Drowns at Sandhill Preservation has one. He tried to segregate it by type for years and gave up. Still sells the seeds.
Dont remember the name, but remember running across it in the catalog this year.
