One of my students, an ex landscape gardener, had an idea for a new business in Melbourne or Sydney. Since rich, time poor people already spend a lot of money on garden maintenance, he thought of doing design and maintenance on food production gardens on suburban blocks. Does anyone have any hints or resources I could pass on to him? T

At least here in "granola-land" (Eugene, Oregon) there's a number of folks with good businesses making raised bed gardens for people, usually including planting them and coming back and maintaining them. There's a fair number of people still out there with more money than time but who have an itch to be able to look at a garden in the back yard and play around in it now and then.
Don't have any particular tips but offer any services that will sell and a "turn-key" garden business is doing well around here.
