Okay, I just saw one of the most ridiculous ad's I've ever seen on tv. Seems j.C. Penney's are opening tomorrow at 4 am??? for their after Thanksgiving sale?? Who the heck goes shopping at 4am?? And worse yet, what about those poor employees who have to start work at what?? 3 am?? Nice Holiday, LOL

BLRH" My DW left home about 1:30 AM this morning with that glazed over shop till you drop look in her eyes. I've tried for years to get her to avoid shopping the morning hours of Black Friday due to the congestion rudeness and occasional brawl that will break out at some stores but she had rather be shot than miss out on a Black Friday sale (so she tells me) Last year after the mall was close down for several hours due to two ladies fighting at 3:30 AM (one getting seriously injured) I thought sure I had won the battle BUT I guess I didn't after all. DW is a city girl that I've been converting to the country for 22 years now, taking her out of the city was easy but getting the city out of her has been tough.

Flowerpower and I oft discuss the things that we miss about living in urban areas. I had to go into town this week, and the hour that I spent walking up the main street in search of a particular Christmas gift was fun. But I hadn't been downtown in about 12 years. I wasn't much of a shopper in the city. I've become even less of one since I left. I'd need something badly (like a labotomy ) before I went shopping/streetscrapping at 3 am. Good Grief what is the world coming too?? LOL Each to his/her own I suppose...Lots of folks wouldn't raise chickens now would they
