This morning on my way to work I stopped at a mom and pops gas station for diesel. There was a huge sign on the diesel pump written in large red letter that said " All fuel must be pre-paid") 
So I walked across the parking lot into the store and pre-paid $30.00 dollars for my fuel. Back across the parking lot to the truck I was standing in 17 deg weather pumping my fuel and the pump stops at $15.00 dollars worth and shuts off.
I thought crap, another trip across the parking lot to the store, I walked in and said ma'am the pump stopped at $15.00 dollars worth and I pre-paid for $30.00.
She said yea that pump is kinda old and the price per gallon only goes up to $2.99 on that pump; so the price of diesel is more than the pump can be set to charge for so we set the price of diesel at exactly 1/2 price $1.68 a gallon and gave you $15.00 dollars worth.
I walked back to the tuck and checked the pump and sure nuff, it was set for $1.68 a gallon, if I had noticed the price per gallon and the pump had been on I would have filled her up with fuel and had sticker shock in the store
