My orchard has 2 apples,1 plum,1 peach,2 mulberries,10 pecan,1 almond, and 2 pomegranates. So far I've only seen peaches and mulberries.I planted the mulberries from seed and WOW did they grow fast!!!!!I had a chicken good beside them and the manure would fall on the ground right by the one tree and I can tell you that it did a fantastic job!!!I would love to have more pomegranate, apple, peaches, and plum if anyone has any.Oh and blueberries!

.I planted the mulberries from seed and WOW did they grow fast!!!!! Yep. We planted some 3' red mulberry whips in the spring of 2010 and they are about 10' tall and will fruit this year if we can get to them before the cedar waxwings do. I'm willing to share with them but they don't reciprocate. And a 6" rooted Illinois Everbearing mulberry that we got three years ago gave us a dozen berries last year when it was about 4' tall. This year at 6', it looks like we'll get a great deal more if I can outfox the cedar waxwings. If you are interested in swapping, try Nafex at nafexlist.blogspot.ca/ or The North American Scion Exchange - tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/scionexchange/. The Cloudforest Gardener at www.cloudforest.com/cafe/scion-exchange/ might be very appropriate to your southern LA location. I find that not only do I get sometimes hard to find plant material but I also get invaluable first hand growing & propagating experience. Edit: Change link

I hardly ever get to eat the mulberries because my middle daughter spends every waking moment plotting how to get them as soon as they turn ripe. They seem to start fairly easily from airlayering. We have started six and they did well. The only other thing that airlayered as easily for us was the figs.
How long from seed did it take your mulberries to bear?
