SOMEhow... I wandered on to a beekeeping site hosted by a guy named David A. Cushman. Was it a link someone else posted earlier this week? I have no remembery of how I got there, but I got there and ultimately, that's the point.
The pages I located talk extensively about using thymol crystals against varroa mites. There's even a couple pages showing frames designed to hold the crystals inside the hive so that the bees don't get to close to them.
Problem is that thymol crystals, widely available in Britan, are were here? Not available? I can't find them at Brushy Mountain nor at Dadant.

Seems very strange to me that I can find Thymovar listings in the U,K., Canada, NZ and the Netherlands yet like you say Jo, Not in the U.S.A? It's an Organic treatment. Could this be a plot by the U.S. chemical companies?
