That's really weird. I just checked and I am able to access Tomatoville from what I can tell. Is this affecting you going to any other websties or doing a google search? Just curious because that seems really strange. It almost sounds like spyware or something but I am not sure.

Meh. No great loss. It's just weird that some of the redirects have swastikas involved. I thought it may have been someone who was against Mischka making a statement. At the end of the day, I really don't care, just as long as I don't have a problem with my machine. Heh, swastikas appearing when you enter the Tomatoville URL? How appropriate. And who could have something against Mein Fuehrer....I mean Mischka.... when he is such a pleasant person???

I followed Sandbar's advice and turned that feature off and I still get redirected from IE to the bluelaced link. With mozilla, I get what Lav described, just a time out. If I do a google search for tville and click the link to it, it also times out using either browser. When I go on one of the other machines, it just times out using moz or ie so the redirect is probably something my machine picked up somewhere. The timeouts still need addressing, though. Mischka-I know that tville is a very secure forum. Could one of the security programs you run be causing my (and formerly Lav's) problem? In the past, I've seen people having problems accessing your site posting on other forums so maybe that has something to do with the timeouts??? Also, thank you for responding to blue's email. I will try your suggestions and report back. Joe- You should change your name to helpful homesteader. Thanks for the ZA assistance offer. I may take you up on it if I have problems with this machine, too. I really think that I do have some kind of bug in my machine that neither of the two spy programs is catching. Grisoft, here I come. Thanks for all of the suggestions, everyone.

I re-checked that and the reason it links that way from my cut and paste link here is because it's searching for "http:", not "tomatoville" so it's unrelated to any bad blood Mischka may have with anyone on the net. The fact that I thought for a moment that the link w/ the swastika was a prank against Tville shows just how embittered parties on both sides appear to the casual or not so casual observer. It actually made me sad in a way. Not that I want to involve myself in that mess, I just wanted to make that observation. Happy gardening, everyone. Meh. No great loss. Well this is interesting. If I try to go to tomatoland.net, my address bar changes it to an images location in the actual address bar, before my very eyes, using IE, but without links to images. In mozilla, it times out. I don't have trouble with any other sites.
I think maybe I have an anti tomato site spyware application on my computer. Maybe I'm just supposed to stay here at Alan's site.
I give up.

I went to a proxy server and accessed both sites w/ no problems. I couldn't log in but they showed up. If it was my computer, wouldn't my computer have stopped me from getting there even through a ps? I've never used one so I don't know how they work except to keep my IP from the site's IP blockers.

Have you tried purging your cache including cookie files? (Be advised that purging your cookie files will likely cause you to have to log in manually the first time you visit password protected sites like forums)

There are trojans that steal your home page link. AVG will usually pick them up where the others won't. I know this from experience. It almost sounds like the same idea. Did purging get you anywhere?

Purging didn't help and grisoft found nothing. Since I can't access the sites from any of my 4 machines, I can't help but think it's a block somewhere. I'm just not going to worry about it anymore. Maybe it's some higher power telling me to stay out of those sites. Who knows?

houseodessey,
Check your PM's here. I can reset your password for you at TL, if you want.
Also, if you can't even see the site, it might have been due to a spam block that was improperly applied. Let me know and we'll get you going again.
Thanks,
--->Rob
