I think I should apologize for starting this thread. Truth is, Idig is Jere's baby, and he can do whatever he wants with it. The last thing I want this forum to become is argumentative. That really is the problem with electronic communication, things that are meant tongue-in-cheek often don't come across that way. So, I am sorry that I made fun of anyone, and I do sincerely apologize for any nightmares I may have caused with my stick pony image. I know that is a hard one to shake. I should think before I type. I guess that one thing that is very hard for new people to the forum to grasp is that we here are more like an enormous family, than a bunch of internet 'buddies'. We converse as a family would converse, etc. About anything and everything that pops into our minds. There are no walls or boundaries here...Because those are the types of things that are the downfall of ninety percent of all forums on the internet. We operate under a live and let live policy here, until an outside force steps in and tries to muddy the waters, then we become a pack of baracuda's. Jere happened to be a catalyst, he is the main reason that this forum exists...Because he banned several of us for having a mind of our own. And even now he continually tries to drag this forum through the mud. And our business...So as far as I'm concerned, turn-a-bouts fair play. If he want's to block the posting of our link in his forum as "Adult Content", whatever...People will stumble in here eventually. And as long as there are a hand full of us still here posting, this site will stay open. There is no "Adult Content" here...Unless you consider a few "shits" and "damns" here and there. But those words can be heard in ninety percent of all disney movies now. Gimme a break...Kids today probably say worse than what they'd read or see on this board.....

For what it's worth Karen, I thought the description was hillarious and also think that Jere generally gets what he has coming to him. However, I'm not going to continue my grudge against him, unless of course he continues to treat me as though I am "Forbidden Fruit" so to speak. I agree with you that I do think that something with him is "just not right" and that maybe indeed he does have problems. I know I have problems, particularly with authority figures and most particularly with those of totoletarian types such as Jere and his Idig site.

Hey, sorry about my rant and picking on Jere. Shouldn't have done it ... wasn't done in the best spirit ... I'll work on that part of my personality. I poked fun at him in absentia ... normally I'll say things like that in jest with my pals, but to their face ... just got a little too carried away in this thread. Sorry.

Noticed that "GreenSeed" was banned. Today, "GreenSeed" is gone.

I guess he banned (and then deleted) you because he read this thread and realized who GreenSeed was?

Well after a few days to cool off here's my take on the whole thing. Idig is Jere's site. He can do what he wants. He has his own agenda and that's fine. As far as his business goes once again his baby. Frankly I don't care. He'll never get another dime from me. When my heirloom gardener subscription is over I'm done with all things Gettle. My whole thing is not wanting to support his politics by even being associated with his site. Quite frankly it wouldn't hurt my feelings to be banned and deleted from idig. All of my garden buddies are preaty much here and I like it here.

Jere's problem is more than likely his formal education or lack thereof. According to a recent article which I read about he and Baker Creek, he never went to school. He was home schooled. Nothing wrong with obtaining a general education in that manner but often does little to learn much about the outside or real world.

Martin, I think you are right one. Home schooling can be very good, the only problem lacking is the social interactions, or lack thereof...

I obviously don't spend as much time over there as it appears most of the rest of you do, but his social skills that most children learn in elementary school seem to be absent or deficient... Just my opinion.
