Hi all,
Now that the season is winding down (and hence there are few enough to make photos possible) I though I share a few snapshots of some of my little experiments in legume cultivation from this year
Pot#1 Crolataria's
Tall one is sun hemp, C. juncea the shorter one (which may be hard to see, as the photo needed to be from some distance to get the top of the sun hemp in the shot was supposed to be sun hemp as well (Identical looking seed), but as it looks almost nothing like the first, I have to assume it is some other memeber of the genus. And yes these are legumes (Crolataria is one of the small number of legumes with non-compound leaves)
Pot#2 Sesbania
Probably S.aculeata or S.bispinosa, but hard to tell conclusively (both of those are supposed to branch and aculeata is usually a much thinner plant)
Pot#3
When I planted the seeds for this, I assumed they were some sort of Acaia. However, given the shape of this plant, I think it more likey now that this is a third species of Senna (the bags I picked the seeds out of were of Senna obtusifolia and already has S. occidentalis as a contaminant.)
Picture#4
My rack of houseplants out for the summer. From left to right Top level Wong pei 2nd level pot #1 (mostly hidden) mango oranges and 1 Jambu pot 2 more Jambu seedlings pot 3 lemon bottom level Kenaf (one of the two from last year it has gottenvery bushy (though hasn't set any more flowers) pot 2 either yuzu or kabosu pot 3 also either yuzu's or kabosu's with two large voulnteer basil plants.
