Anybody know where I could get some Aquadulce Claudia fava beans? I read where they are the best fava beans for planting in the fall. I thought I would give them a try.

Almost any major shop in the uk carries that selection. Aquadulce (Aguadulce) is a Spanish variety, and it's a common comercial one so I can get it here.
Many varieties can be planted in the fall as long as it's not too cold in winter.

Are there any US shops that carry it? It's apparently rare here in the US.

Reimer Seeds carries Aquadulce. Not sure if it's the same as Aquadulce Claudia but I suspect it is.
Edit: Seems like AC is a selection of Aquadulce with slightly longer pods and slightly earlier production.

Aguadulce was a landrace, and we know big bussiness doesn't like them, so we know have a bunch of selections.

It does vary a bit; I believe Aquadulce Claudia is the toughest selection.

So does Aquadulce have a lot of genetic diversity? It sounds as if it might be my choice if it does.

I believe so. If you can get several strains and grow them together you'd get more variation.
