I noticed that my plums trees were blooming and my apples and pear should be sometime this week. I pounded fertilizer stakes around the fruit trees yesterday. I had a large apple crop last year and hope this will not be a down year.

I wonder if i will get any fruit off of my trees this year with the cold weather. My plum blossum had already started swelling and hopefully that may help to weather the cold spells.

Yesterday I was checking out the neighbors apple trees and it looked like every single bloom got burnt up!!! I just hope they got to pollinate first. I hope everyone here has good luck with their trees this year!

My peaches bit the dust, as usual... I'm tempted to cut the darned thing down.
But, worse yet, a few nights in a row of hard freezes burned the new leaves right off of many of the native trees - oaks, etc. I fear we may have lost all the acorns, which could be disastous to local wildlife.

Frost got mine too. I only saved the ones I had just bought and moved into the shed. I had not planted them yet. Oh well, that's how it goes. I might have something left.
