I remember you had a great plan for insulating a fig tree agains winter weather... how did that turn out? Have you checked on it this Spring, yet?

I don't know yet, I'm leaving it under wraps for a few more weeks. Believe it or not, we're getting flurries today! Brrrrr!

I didn't "uncrate" it yet, but I could just reach one of the branches the other day. There's life in them there twigs! I think, maybe next week I'll uncrate it. I'll keep ya posted!

Took a chance this weekend and uncrated it. Overall, the thing lives! I did lose approximately the top six to twelve inches of each branch, but that's okay! No rodent damage, either Can't say whether that was due to the wyrmwood or the cat droppings, but as long as something worked, I don't mind. Next year, I think I should wait a little longer before crating it up, so it's more completely dormant.
