my name is sylvester floyd. love to grow corn. i grew 48 ears of corn from a 4x10 space. this was my first time growing corn. ineed to do better. the corn was miracle. i live in baltimore,md. I would like to increase the yeild a bit more some way.

Welcome aboard, Sylvester! 48 ears in 40 square feet is pretty good already, especially for sweet corn! The only way I can think of to increase that any further would be to find a variety that reliably produces multiple ears per stalk. I came across this thread on the topic: forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/load/cornucop/msg0712322613807.html. Even then, though, the only ones to produce multiples are often ones with greater spacing around them, so it averages out. But we have plenty of other corny people here who might be able to help you out! MB
