Just wanted to post a picture of one of the crops I am most proud of - my Cauli's. I've heard that they are difficult to grow, but I bought plugs (late late in the year), planted 'em with plenty of BF&B, and a couple of months later here we are: I still have about 8 left to harvest, 4 at this size. Roughly 4lbs each, although I have no scale so this may be way out. Ok, can someone kindly explain how I link pictures from Facebook?

I feel your pain, and that's why I don't even try to deal with this tech stuff.

Steev, these things used to be simple, I don't know when it got so complex. Screw Facebook anyway, Flickr is the way forward: Untitled by rowan.godfrey, on Flickr

Thanks Circumspice! I'm slightly concerned about the rest, I wanted to harvest 4 yesterday, one is close to bolting, but it rained on and off all day and I don't get good results harvesting brassica's after rain, nothing keeps.

Well, just froze 3 huge tupperware of Cauli, took a bit of freezer jigsaw work, I seem to spend half my life reorganising my very small freezer to fit more in!

I still have one cauliflower I planted around the Fourth of July in the ground. It is surrounded by bales and bags of leaves and covered with an old matress pad at night. Still growing, slooooowly.

Yeah I think mine would have been planted around that time! I still have 2 left to go, they seem to be growing more slowly but happily still If only I had any idea what variety they were!

GREEN with envy Rowan. I just get heartache when trying to grow caulis. Tried for 7 years, finally given up. My new obsession is Kohl Rabi. They really are easy to grow, and delicious.

Well, gave away the last 2 of my cauli's today, one was probably about 8lbs and the other one 5lbs or so. Couldn't keep anymore, freezer full to capacity basically with Cauli, need space for more variety in my diet Also a whole row of Cabbage well on the way to harvest, biggest probably 10lbs and still growing strong despite the cold wet weather.

Mind you Cabbages don't mind the cold weather too much, unless if there's heavy frosts then its only varieties like Savoy that will handle that.

Aye Richard, I'm keeping an eye on them, we've had a few light frosts which the netting covering the cabbages just about protect them from, but final harvest will have to be in the next couple or 3 weeks.
