Robin Tavares posted here and at most every other gardening forums back a few years ago. Her self appointed job was to get seeds for (mostly other women) that were struggling with unemployment and or disability. She acted as a defacto endowment. I liked her style then and she became an avenue for my little seed production projects. I like it still. Robin has in established a set of pro-boards forums need4seed.freeforums.net/index.cgiAnd worse she's made me a moderator. I'm still growing seedling trees for Robin, and we can always use any surplus seed you have, that you do not need.

Coppice: Congratulations on becoming a moderator at Seed4Need. I've corresponded with Robin in the past, and sent seeds. A pleasant experience indeed.

Now, would someone tell me what kind of evergreen I planted a few weeks ago? Received an interesting assortment of seeds and berries plus a tree. Many of the seeds are either planted or scheduled for next year. Whatever the tree is now is where I had to take down an old arbor vitae several years ago. Don't recognize the short needles as anything seen around here.

I assumed that you might know since you're involved with the tree seedling part. That was the only thing that wasn't identified in the box and no message included. New computer here and her address is in the old one. No big deal as she will eventually contact me again when I next have a lot of seeds to offer.

Hi to All! I have a had a Yahoo! Group for a few years. Need 4 Seed has been growing, and that format isn't serving the project as well. I got a pro-boards site. It is taking right off! This format will make it easier for people to find the information they seek. I welcome anyone who is interested, whether someone is in need, wants to contribute, or is just curious. Feel free to come on by and check it out! Robin was Tavares, now is back to Marble (my maiden name) P.S. Thanks for the kind words!
