I have a healthy male plant, but I killed my females; I just bought a packet of seeds; I hope to have a harem this year. Oh, also one for the male seaberry.

No need, if they aren't out in public.

We planted 5 females and two males in the fall of 2009. They were quite small (< 12") but are now between 3 & 4 feet so we're hoping to see fruit this year. Propagation is by root cuttings.

Hello - I have grown about 50 plants from seed. Some of them are 3 years old and I hope will blossom this spring. I also am a bit crazy about the plant and have ordered 500 2yr seedlings to plant along with 100 Saskatoon Berry plants. These are what could be called wild variety (or unknown ). I am excited about their expected varying qualities and hope to find some gems. Thanks for mentioning my blog about the whole thing Mikeh. I really enjoyed your experience with root cutting. Excellent! These are on the blog but for your convenience jbl4430.... FemaleMaleThe males have a "purse" which contains the pollen. They are only wind pollinated.

As far as I know honeyberryusa is the only place they will be available. There must be others unless it is their exclusive variety. Probably a good idea to attempt to reserve if they would do that.

ha ha, the way i learned it is that the female is the scruffy, ratty-looking, stressed plant, and the male plant is lush, green, beautiful, and fancy-free!

I almost wish that weren't probably true, but it's true, I am natty and debonair.
