I believe there are a number of different strains or varieties with this name. Most of them are flat Romano-type pale yellow pods with red or purple streaking. The strain that I've grown is pretty productive, but you need to have the plants spaced further apart than most bush beans if you want to get good color on the pods. If you crowd them many of the pods end up very pale whitish yellow with extremely faint pink streaks. They need to have lots of light to get good color on them. They are a perfectly nice snap bean, but I don't grow them for market because they don't sell.

Probably my favourite bush bean for fresh eating, so tender and juicy. They do not keep at all well because they are almost devoid of any fibre. They go soft after a day or so once picked. Pick them and cook them up or add them to a salad the same day.
